Ta DA! I rode from Corpus Christi to new Braunfels (162 miles) today and was so happy to meet the Chrome Divas of Central Texas. Thank you, sisters, for being so welcoming and encouraging, I really appreciated your smiles and hugs, and can't wait to see you again! It was such a great ride. I experienced a few new things: 85 mph (I laid on the 'tank'...heehee) I felt the wind shift my bike under me and I let a wasp out of my face shield. With each mile I could feel fear changing into victory, doubt growing into confidence, an wanna-be turning into I AM. I let my rode crew captain ride most of the way home. 199.6 miles was enough of a challenge for this rookie. Thank you, sweet husband, for your support and faith in me (and your $$). Next goal: a 250-mile day. Varoom, LET'S GO!!
